Why Study Instructional Technology

This program is for educators seeking to enhance their teaching skills through technology, individuals in leadership roles within instructional technology, professionals working in training environments, and those who predominantly work with computers. Proficiency in leveraging instructional technologies and applying principles of instructional design is crucial in today’s workplace. As a candidate in 365bet's Instructional Technology master's program, you'll advance your skills in areas such as multimedia creation, digital publishing, and designing effective digital instruction.

Busy professionals do not have time for busy work. Candidates in this program will work on relevant projects that they can use in their current or desired positions. The program also features a practicum course, which allows for a mentorship experience with a practicing technologist and the opportunity to earn digital badges and certifications as a Google or Microsoft Educator, as well as a capstone course in which the candidate designs, implements, and evaluates a technology training workshop for their own students, colleagues, or clients.

Our candidates participate in hands-on, practical projects, allowing them to gain the necessary knowledge to advance as classroom teachers, technology coaches, instructional designers, and trainers, as well as government employees or military service members. This degree is designed to benefit and enhance career prospects for professionals who complete most of their work on computers.

The whole program is online and can be completed in just over one year. A new cohort starts each semester – spring, summer, and fall.

Professional Licensure Disclosure

Students should be aware that licensure and certification requirements vary from state to state and are subject to change. Licensing agencies or boards also may have requirements in addition to an earned degree. 365bet recommends that students who are not Tennessee residents or who plan to seek licensure or certification outside the state of Tennessee contact the appropriate licensing agency or board before they enroll in an academic program designed to lead to licensure or certification and discuss their plans with an advisor.

Please visit the Professional Licensure Disclosure webpage to review specific licensure information for your state and academic program.
